BARCELONA CITY COUNCIL WEBSITE
I worked on this project years ago when I didn’t have my current UX/UI knowledge. I would do things differently now, but it taught me a lot about information architecture and the traits of government projects.
One of the most interesting features of the site had was its personalization capabilities. The user could enter their name and neighborhood and get a custom URL and results tailored to their needs. There was a lot of information to be showcased and the hierarchy was very tricky. To navigate all that overload I created a widget with quick access to specific menus that the user could easily choose. The brief also mentioned collaboration and shareability so I worked on an ever-evolving logo that could have multiple skins depending on the occasion.
